The New York Housing Conference has commissioned HR&A Advisors to study the economic impact of universal rental assistance on New York.

Accessing Religious Tax Exemptions

Bricks and Mortals co-hosted "Accessing Religious Tax Exemptions in NYC" along with the Muslim Community Network (MCN), the NYC Department of Finance, and the NYC Center for Faith and Community Partnerships on June 14th at 2 pm. The event goal was ensuring FBOs are aware of how to apply and maintain their non-profit tax exemption status. The webinar was available in English and French.

Real Estate Planning 101 for Communities of Faith

This educational workshop for faith-based organizations will cover the fundamentals of real estate use, adaptation and development in New York City. Expert panelists will describe the possibilities, process, players, risks, resources and policy goals associated with the physical assets of communities of faith. This event is a collaboration between the Cultural Facilities Committee of AIANY and Bricks & Mortals.

Theologies of Bricks & Mortals

Panelists -- including the renowned New School Professor Mindy Fullilove -- will discuss both theological and practical implications of houses of faith serving their larger communities.
